Biscuit — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Biscuit collects nothing. Everything stays on your device.
There is no account, no login, no server, and no analytics. Biscuit never
transmits any data off your computer, to us or to anyone else.
What Biscuit stores (locally, on your device only)
- The intention(s) and tasks you type in.
- A private, on-device tally of how long you spend on each website while a
session is active, used only to decide when to gently nudge you. This is
kept for at most 21 days and then deleted automatically.
- Your progress with the companion (level, days shown up, unlocked cosmetics)
and your settings (theme, nudge cadence, allow/deny lists).
All of the above lives in your browser's local extension storage
(chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your machine. Uninstalling
Biscuit removes it.
What Biscuit does NOT do
- No data is sent to any server, ever. Biscuit has no backend.
- No selling, sharing, or transferring of data to third parties.
- No advertising, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or cross-site profiles.
- No reading or storing of page content, form fields, passwords, or browsing
history. Biscuit only looks at the domain of your active tab
(e.g. "youtube.com") to know whether to offer a gentle nudge.
Why the broad site access
Biscuit asks to run on all sites so the corgi companion can keep you company
on any page and notice when you've drifted from your intention. All of this
processing happens on your device, in real time, and nothing is recorded or
sent anywhere.
